BIO

Caê Vieira is a tenor with great interpretive expressiveness and a charismatic and noble stage presence. He dedicates himself to opera and chamber music with a repertoire ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary music.

 

In opera, he is classified as a Heldentenor (Heroic Tenor), with a full-bodied voice and rich timbre. Caê Vieira sang for many years as a baritone, having been seen as Figaro (Rossini), Guglielmo (Mozart), Jupiter (Offenbach) and Escamillo (Bizet), among others. Since 2020, he has begun a transition in vocal classification and now dedicates himself to the dramatic tenor repertoire, with special attention to German opera by Wagner, Weber and Beethoven.

 

In chamber music, Vieira dedicates himself to a broad and varied repertoire. He has a prominent role in the area of ​​Early Music, having participated in several groups specializing in historically informed performance. In the classical-romantic repertoire, he specializes in German Lied and Brazilian Art Song. In addition, Dr. Vieira is a researcher of the diction of sung Brazilian Portuguese and a promoter

of the Brazilian repertoire for voice and piano.

 

With a solid academic background, he completed his doctorate in music from the University of Alabama in 2016. He lived for a period of 6 years in the USA, where he worked as a university professor, singer and choral conductor. Since 2018, he has been a professor of singing at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
